The Fairborn Chamber of Commerce will celebrate its Annual Halloween Festival this Friday through Sunday, Oct. 15,16, and17. Over 60 vendors will be joined by four bands, dance performers, food trucks and entertainers. The events get underway on Friday from 4-11pm, Saturday from 11am-11pm and on Sunday from noon-6pm. A Witches Brew Beer Garden will be serving selections from Heidelberg Distributors from 4-11pm Friday and Saturday.
Friday's festivities will be highlighted by the 65th Annual Spooktacular Parade which assembles at the YMCA where games and crafts will accompany the costume judging.. The parade begins at 7:30 and proceeds down Central Avenue to the main stage where costume prizes will be awarded for 8 age groups and the categories of adult, family, pet, best couple and scariest. The Troupe Roja Belly Dancers will perform at 6:45pm followed by music provided by the Zep Tepi and Retrobution bands featuring country and rock music.
Saturday's activities include performances by the Richens/Timm Academy of Irish Dance, the Quest and Miami Valley Dance Centers. Rounding out the evening will be the Rock It 88 band with its 60's and 70's selections and the RIND (Rock Is Not Dead) band. Those participating in the Zombie Walk will be arriving to close out the evening. Interested Zombie walkers should call Abigail Berry, 937 797-7311.
Foy's Haunted House Museum will be open throughout the event and children will be able to participate in a vendors "Trick or Treat" on Sunday between 1-2pm.
